So as it turns out Comp may not be at fault or at least not completely... Titan who sold me the matched kit/head assy had the damned seat pressures way on the high side.
Seat pressure was 140# closed and 300# open and the install height was 1.650 with coil bind coming in around .470 (still under this cams max lift). I'm pissed to say the least.
Going to swap rods and use a full H-Beam setup with the KB 944 piston with some mods to make it a floating pin design. Rings will be gapped for boost and the block is honed out for a piston to wall clearance of .0055
