Similar, but Hesco's dumps the oil out the bottom. Also, I think they only recommend them with their 310* duration cam. Also, using different oil grades will change the way the cam behaves. I was tempted to try the cam, but I have enough sounds as it is.

I'm very happy with the stock cam and I wouldn't change it. I know that'll come as a surprise but I'll explain why. Although WOT performance is slightly degraded (only 1-2 tenths slower to the 1/4 mile), there are several reasons why I like it:

1. Glass smooth idle with higher vacuum (21" stock cam v 17" Crane).
2. Valvetrain noise almost non-existent. When I ran the Crane cam with Mopar 5249464 springs, the engine had a noticeable tick at idle.
3. Part throttle response with the stock cam is better.
4. Gas mileage slightly improved with stock cam.
5. More torque with stock cam from idle to 1600rpm.

Don't be fooled by the modest-sounding dyno numbers. This engine feels like it puts down at least 200rwtq even when you only tickle the throttle and the response is neck-jerking. It's so effortless that I have to keep a close eye on the speedo to avoid getting caught by the speed cameras.

I never thought I'd say this, but I think I will stick with the stock cam. Sounds like the best bang for the buck longevity wise. I would have thought there would be more power difference.

Yeah, I would have saved quite a lot of money if I'd built my stroker with the stock cam in the first place.

Cheromaniac: I read most these posts and have always had ONE Question for you, with you likeing the power with the STOCKER cam. Truth BE KNOWN, aren't you still running THOSE HIGH RATIO ROCKER ARMS you put in with the Crane cam?
If you are, it isn't like running a stock cam at all; it would have more lift and duration, right?

Don, the Yella Terra roller rockers that I'm using are the same 1.6 ratio as the stockers so the lift/duration is unchanged.

maybe im lookin in the wrong place, but ive found 1.7 rockers kinda hard to come by
