Wait.. wat? Pontiac? 69 GTO?jonemere wrote:I had the body completely off the frame. I then checked the bare frame measurements against the frame alignment chart that I have from the 69 GTO service manual. There were 14 total measurements both horizontal and vertical. I had read your previous posts so, I was careful to check all these measurements before I reassembled the car. All the measurements checked out. However, the one critical measurement that you mentioned is not in the alignment chart. Also, the motor is now installed and I don't really want to pull it again to triple check unless I can’t figure something else out.It Maybe compare your new mount to your old one. There are several types of mounts used on Pontiacs in different cars and you might just have a wrong part.

Re: Motor Mounts
ok im about to do somethin i totally hate. im gonna resurrect this thread for 2 seconds. is it just the 2000+ WJ blocks that are different, or do the earlier ones (say a 5302069 with a 121397 date stamp) only fit grands too? i have a chance on one with a 0630 head im not sure if i want. never quite understood it and thought all grand blocks were the same but i think im wrong.
