It was mainly a coding change. The scripting was written poorly, so i cleaned it up and made sure everything was standardized.
I also noticed that with the advance/retard feature i was dividing the value in half (when it was being calculated with IVC angle NOT duration and LSA)... and im still not quite sure why i did so.
Now that i cleaned up the code, it also seems to be a bit faster.
Bore for the 4.2 should be 3.75" I only noticed it today because I forgot that number and figured the calc would have it, but no luck, so I had to go digging in my own old posts

I believe that the built in advance on the comp cam 68-231-4 preset is incorrect. It should be 4* advance. I emailed CompCams the other day and they replied with 4* advance. I also verified it by entering their seat-to-seat IVC (which isn't advertised on their site, but it is their camquest software), which is 52*. Using the 52* IVC I got a DCR of 8.36. Then, using the preset but with an advance of 4* instead of .5* I got a DCR of 8.36.

Mine measured 58.3cc after some polishing work. The 2000 FSM says 55.22cc to 58.22cc
Another thought.. it would be interesting to see different cam options listed than the three there... perhaps you could post in the forum for additional cam specs? I know a few people are running Lunati and Isky cams. I had an old list of cams in an excel file, but I can't find it now.
Im still waiting for more feedback on what people would like added to our calculator.
I went ahead and added a few things myself. Mainly for the initial bore and stroke measurements. I made it easier to be able to choose your target build. Like 4.7, 4.6 etc..
When using the CR Calculator, I end up with 2 different dynamic numbers using the IVC and the advertised duration methods. Using the IVC I get 9.24cr/8.66 dynamic cr. Using the advertised duration I get 9.24cr and 7.6 dynamic. I also went to www.kb-silvolite.com and used thier cr calculator and got 9.24cr and 8.09 dynamic...What gives? Which one is right?
