Intake and Exhaust Recomendations

Hey everybody,

Does anyone have recommendations for setting a stroker up as far as intake and exhaust? I'm talking Cold air kits, headers and cat backs. I know I need to get more air in and out but I'm not sure which systems to invest in?

what year make model is your rig?? do you wheel it? sink it? or is it a DD bone stocker? i think that might make a difference, at least on the intake part (snorkel!!!)

Opps.... It's a 91 Wrangler with a AW4. It's mostly used for low engine RPM stuff I wheel it but not very hard. It's running 4:56 gear 34" tires with lockers fore and aft. The engine is bone stock hence building the stroker. Anything else you need to know?

Consider the newer style OEM intake and power steering pump upgrade, Borla long tube header and a 2.5 inch exhaust system & cat.

Hey Dingo,
I agree with John. The Borla, though expensive, is probably the best. It has the complete collector-back Mandrel bent piping available and it's stainless too. I checked in to having a guy in Bend, Oregon do a header-back Mandrel bent stainless set up and he quoted around $900.00 for 2.5" with a new Flowmaster included. You should be able to find the complete Borla set up including the header for about that. If I were doing it again, that's the route I'd go. I ended up with a stainless, ceramic Doug Thorley header, but I still need to do the rest. The Borla has the better 3-2-1 long tube design which keeps the torque peak down low.
