Ok. Gonna try and toss this out here and see if I can get some knowledgeable help.
First, I am somewhat mechanically knowledgeable, but not of the internal engine and the specifics of it. I wanted a stroker motor for my 97 TJ Sahara and chose to go with Titan 4.7. I know I will probably catch some groans on this choice. I have a few myself. Hindsight, if I had it do over I would probably go another route.
The motor is in and its running. It sounds pretty good and seems to run pretty good. The only thing I changed other than the engine itself was 24lb blue tops and a 62mm bored out TB. It has stock header and ignition. Complete borla exhaust system and K&N cold air intake as well. I am wondering what else I should or would need to add to get this at its best. It runs decent, although I didn't and still do really know what to expect. Its on the stock computer which is what Titan said would run it fine. I just dont think this stroker is running at its potential. Any info or tips would be appreciated.
Anyone know of anyone who knows the Jeeps and the strokers ins and outs and possibly live in the North Texas area? I could really use some educated help on this. Thanks.

I have heard good things about the Unichip and IIRC Commanchs91 on here reported significant gains by using it. There are several other options for piggy back computers. the PSC1 is another favorite here. I run an Apexi, a modified computer and a Wideband O2 sensor with data logging. If you go playing around with the fuel curve I think a wide band is imperative to have. Also, try to insulate the K&N from under hood hot air as much as possible, maybe making a better cover for it then the ill fit to the hood, and provide that there is a direct part for outside air to enter. You could also go with an after market header. Move the IAT from the hot manifold to the K&N heat shield. http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/IAT_sensor.html.The motor is in and its running. Re: Fine Tuning?
The core charge refund took forever. Had to call on it multiple times. Started to feel like I was getting the run around on this. The current headache is a mess up with the shipping company. I had the engine shipped to a neighbors place of business because he has a forklift and could unload the thing for me. Saved money. I prepaid for the shipping both for the engine and the core. The shipping company sent my neighbor a bill for over twice what I paid in total for the shipping. This has been months ago and it is still not resolved and they are still sending my neighbor bills for this. After calling the shipping company myself (again not pleased with the runaround I was getting from Titan) they said the shipping was not paid at all and pretty much went on to say I still owe them the money. All I really got from Titan on this was that they would check in on it and let me know, but havent gotten anything usefull from them in this matter.

I'm very interested in this too. I've got a TJ with a Golen stroker waiting for me when I go back to the states in 6 months, and I want to do some tuning. It's just got a map adjuster right now, and the a/f's start around 13.5 below 2k rpm, and cruise all the way down to 11'ish near readline. That's the best I could do with the map adjuster. I've got a wideband in my Skyline that I'll be taking with me when I head home BTW, so that's covered.
Would a SAFC get me 80% of the gains, or is most of the hp found in timing which I would obviously need something like a Unichip for?
