I had a lot of noise also on my stock 91 AM/FM/Cassette player too, but swapped in a single DIN Mitsubishi AM/FM/CD player in it's place and no more static. Must be filtered better.

Has anyone tried an E3 spark plug yet? Looks ours would tale the E3.64 Champion RC9YC crossover).

i have never seen E3s around. my favourite local partsman is starting to think theyre a myth

FWIW, Golen calls for Autolite 985s gapped 0.040 in thier strokers.

What happens if you're running an after market ignition? I have a full MSD set up (overkill?) It fires triple the normal rate below 3K. Suggestions?

Does your MSD box allow you to adjust ignition timing? I know not all ignition boxes are capable of that, some just make a hotter spark

My MSD box does allow for that, but I didn't get the controller for it as I didn't think i'd be using it to that extent. I know, OVERKILL! Maybe with a stroker, it will be of some advantage.

I'm also running an Msd 6 in my 4.0 with a firepower coil, summitracing 8mm cables and been using the accel yellow u groove plugs (any good?) gapped at .45, My engine is torn down in the process of becomiing a 4.5 poor man's stroker (4.2 rods, crank, 4.0 pistons dished to 23cc, no overbore, no decking, victor reinz head gasket, at sea level) do you think they will still work or should I switch to the champion rc9 or rc10 plugs?

I've tried NGKs, Bosche, Champion "Truck" plugs, etc. ad nauseaum. Nothing works better for me than the old school RC9 or RC10 copper cores. They are recommended both by Mopar and Hesco for the OBDI NA and strokers; I'm stickin' with them.

I have the rc9s in mine. I loved the Autolites double plats on my 4.0.
