If I remember correctly, John had added a couple of sprayers to the lobes at cylinder #6 and at the dizzy gear. Any updates John?

Working ok so far with this but too early to say it helps or not. I can say that the extra oil to the rear of the motor has shown no lube problems anywhere else. I really think the extra oil from a cam saver type lifter and watching the zinc levels should handle most aggressive builds quite well. Going inside and tapping into oil passages and adding nozzles and other extra parts works but may just be overkill. I still wonder what if one of those extras migrate..... I do think the external cam gear lube modification is a good one and well worth your time, you might even look at developing a jig that would come with a bit and tap to make this a easy diy mod for those interested, our lube failures are valve train, cam/lifter and dizzy gears. get all oil you can to the dizzy gear, keep zinc above 1200ppm, add any extra you can to the cam and lobes. (pet peeve, I don't see enough builders checking lifter bore dimensions and finish condition.)Quit idling these motors for so long. Lubrication is marginal at this time.

here's an idea isky cams has sbc lifters with a .024 edm hole through the cam face of the lifter. might be able to send out lifters and have that done. would be a hole lot easier than a spray bar (that under vibration could crack) or the expense of gun drilling the cam. just an idea

You can do a EDM hole but it has to be solid lifter you can't do it to a hydraulic lifter.
