When it is in open loop the ecm makes fuel trim decisions by several sensor of the eng............when it is closed loop the 02 sensor tell the ECM how good of a job it is doing(aka closed loop)......TOO lean!!!!!!!...ecm ADJ, TOO rich!!!!! ecm ADJ. and this proses never stop unless it gos back in to open loop.
the 02 sensor is continually telling the ecm how to do its job better.
Make Sense?

How are you guy's adjusting the ignition timing on your stroker conversions? Is anyone running the coil on plug system that comes on the later model engines? Would you like to?

I am not very smart!
I let the ECU determine timing, as I have no way to adjust it. I am using the coil rail setup and it is working well so far.
