Hello all. I am looking forward to this build. I will be painting the body, engine, trim. We will be stroking the original motor with 249.xxx miles on it. Here are the specs. I will add here as they come:
Block 0341 NVH
Head 0630
The machine shop has the block and head checking for cracks and cleaning. They will also be honing and boring the cylinders I believe 0.030" over. But I will know more in the next week.
Thanks for checking out my build.

sounds like it will run pretty good, are you doing the assembly yourself?

YES! That is the most enjoyable part of a rebuild. Everything is installed and running. Rockers will not clear the stock valve cover baffle so I am looking into at least a half inch valve spacer because I relocated the baffle a 1/4" up and still getting contact.

there's not a lot of good solutions for the low valve cover issue. I have the scorpion adjustables on mine. I cut two valve covers apart and made a single taller valve cover to accommodate. Small block for or chevy can get tall valve covers for cheap.
