Titan recommends using a performance header paired with stock exhaust diameter with their 4.7L stroker. I'm using a Banks Revolver header, but I had planned on using a 2.5"-3" exhaust until heard that advice from Titan.
"I did talk to Titan about any exhaust diameter upgrades or throttle body upgrades they recommend on that engine and they said adding the header is good but to stay with the stock exhaust diameter and stock throttle body for the best performance. They said that the upgraded throttle body's and bigger exhaust systems actually would have an adverse effect on the engine performance."
Should I go with the manufacturer's recommendation? or internet wisdom that bigger intake and bigger exhaust are necessary (as he asked the internet)? Anybody have before and after experience with the Titan engine? Is this the case because the engine is de-tuned to work with stock vehicles? They did at least recommend 24lb injectors.
Thanks.

A 62mm TB and a 2.5" exhaust would be fine on a mild 4.7 stroker.

Sure, provided it has low restrictive exhaust, 24 lb injectors and at least 62 mm TB and a cold air intake.

Re: Titan 4.7L Exhaust Diameter?
Titan is wrong. There is zero upside to choking even a mild stroker with a stock sized TB and exhaust.
