Hey all, quick question:
With my 4.7L titan in my 97 TJ, should I have a rough idle (as I do)?
I believe the cam is 214/214.

Re: Should I have a rough idle?
How rough is rough? My Titan has a slight stumble, and I have been advised by a few people to try different plugs.
When did you two get your titans?

Re: Should I have a rough idle?
I know it does sound sweet, especially when its cold and I first start it up in the morning
that and the flowmaster super 44 lol
As long as I'm not hurting anything I'm cool with it. It goes away as soon as you give it gas and more so when it warms up

Re: Should I have a rough idle?
I've got a fairly rough idle. Listening to the exhaust, it sounds like it occasionally misfires, but it's not. I work at a Chevrolet dealership, and I've hooked up a SnapOn code reader which can also check for misfiring. There hasn't been a misfire in the history of what the computer can store for data.

Re: Should I have a rough idle?
I did have misfire codes, but it was only when the engine was in learn mode. If I reset the computer then the first thing it does is raise the idle for a bit cause I guess it doesn't like it that rough. After the computer "gets used" to the stroker it runs normal and if you clear the codes they don't come back (unless you were to reset the computer again)
