Forget Lube Locker for trans pan

I have an A999 3 speed on my stroker, and I've had a transmission pan leaking problem way before I built my stroker. Nothing worked, and I tried rubber gaskets, Lube Locker and finally the grey RTV. The grey RTV seemed to work for a while but eventually it started to leak, but in the end they all failed. I found out that Mopar makes an updated steel core rubber gasket for these pans which is great cause I've had great success with them on other parts pf my Jeep, and it got even better when I found out that Crown makes the exact same gasket but much cheaper.

The part number is 4295875AC and it's the same part# for Mopar, but Crown is %50 or more cheaper depending where you buy it. I bought mine at 4Wheel parts for $10.99, and got free shipping by shipping it to a store near me. My only complaint is that the store manager didn't call me when my order got there, and I found out when I called costumer service, but it was only a few days later so no big deal; I didn't start working on it right away anyways.

The hardest part was cleaning off the RTV some wiener (me) put on the pan, but after that, it was easy. I took it for a drive, and there were not leaks anywhere on the pan or bolts after, which is good cause if there were, it would start seeping almost as soon as I start filling up the transmission. My pan is old too, so it's probably not the straightest, but this gasket sealed it up great.

The A999 is on a 1990 Yj Stroker btw. I'm pointing that out because most places weren't clear on whether that gasket would fit my year A999, but I found out that it does with more research.

That's the Stock gasket for the 32RH which is basically a 999 but for Fuel injected Engines...

Cool, most sites like ebay would say that this wouldn't fit my transmission, but it does which is great. All auto parts stores only had the regular rubber gasket which turned out to be useless for me unfortunately; they should just carry this gasket and it's reusable, best one so far. Here's a list of the transmissions it should fit for reference.

Yup I have been using this in my CJ with a 999 since 97 but I just bought the mopar one as its cheap from the dealer

Well looks like I spoke too soon cause it still leaks from the rear of the pan, it's not as bad, but it still leaks. Looks like I may need a new pan, so I've been looking into an aluminum pan cause I've read bad reviews on some steel pans that still leak after install. I found this one that says it's for a A904 that's decently priced compared to others, but I was wondering if I could put this on my A999? Looks like the same shape as my pan, and I found that both a904 and A999 share the same gasket.

So is that pan a good option for my A999, or is there a better made steel pan that people had success with? I also use ATF+4, and I heard that it's supposed to be thinner.
