I had a 4.0 stroker built. The shop messed up the build a few times. Seems to be running good now.
However, I think it still has the stock cam, or the new cam got flat from earlier issues. Is there a "simple" way to get an idea of the cam profile as it sits in the engine?
(Main issue was they did not mill down the spring seats for the aftermarket springs, and it kept bending push rods)
The CAM is a stage 3, and is supposed to have a "loopy" idle. It does not.
Thanks

Re: find out CAM specs
Stage 3.. sounds like a 505 gimmick name.
Since there is a chance it is worn the best you an do is to pull the can and see if there is an engraving on the back of the cam. If the cam iss till in good condition you could use a degree wheel to figure out the specs.
BTW, these engines, low end torque, do not benefit from a loopy idle style am being that they don't rev high.
