ok so...

If I adjust the Dist housing retarded, it does not throw a code but runs with what feels like less higher RPM power. I am trying to get it as far clockwise as I can without a code and then go from there I guess.

You advanced the cam 4* and
'Advancing the camshaft timing in relation to the crankshaft will lower the power curve range on your engine. This means that the power curve will start at a lower rpm. Retarding the cam timing, increases the power curve - the power curve will start later at a higher rpm'.
Isn't that what you are seeing, less upper rpm power?

Why not take out the 4* advance that you put in and then run it and time it with the toothpick method. Wouldn't your cam/crank sync then be within range/spec and no code.
