Here is what I did.

99 block bored 60 over
258 crank shaved 10
258 stock rods
4.0 stock lifters
4.0 stock rockers
4.0 stock pushrods
4.0 stock valve springs
Comp 68-232-4 can
Sealed power 677 pistons 60 over
Factory 1992 4.0 factory roller chain and gears
Pin bolt spring needed for can
Re used main cap girdle off 99 4.0
7120 head valve job
7120 head leveled off
7120 slightly ported mainly exhaust
Block leveled off with piston 50 thou in the hole
43 thou head gasket
Timing 14 degrees btdc
Calculation of Russ 9.58:1 comp.
NGK plugs

No per ignition or detonation on 87 octane. Pedal feels about 250ish HP. Runs about 215 temp but that's easily dealt with. My carb is a two barrel holley 287 cfm soon to be a Carter 500cfm.

By the way Russ is always willing to help

Definitely. It just feels like it in the pedal. 287 FM compared to 500 is a big difference
