What's the truth here. Heated friend debate

To put it short if the crank is ground 10, 20,30 whatever and oversized bearings put it does that increase stroke ? Just a yes or no here friends

When you grind the rod journals on a crankshaft, the undersize rod bearings (thicker) make up for the amount of material that was ground from the crank journal.

Now, if you're able to offset grind the crankshaft and use a ride with a smaller housing bore, you'll be able to increase the stroke. In most cases this is done with aftermarket rods and not very cost-effective for the average engine build.

I see what you me a. With bigger rods smaller pistons. Yes I comprehend that but I'm talking just grinding the crank with bigger bushings. My knowledge tells me if you take ten off the crank where the rods connect and go ten bigger on the bushings you aren't changing travel unless I'm wrong of coarse.

No the stroke hasn't changed.
