Looking through more of that fact sheet, I noticed Renix uses the smallest Injectors of any other system. I added the last column
Model Year, ...Part #, ...........Color, .....Fuel Pressure, ...Static Flow,........Flow at 43.5PSI
'87-'90, ........53003956, .......Black, ...........39psi, .........18.6lb/hr............19.6lb/hr
'91-'93, ........33007127, .......Brown, ..........39psi, .........21.0lb/hr............22.2lb/hr
'94-'95, ........53030343, .......Tan, .............39psi, .........21.0lb/hr............22.2lb/hr
'96-'98, ........53030778, .......Grey, ...........49psi, .........23.3lb/hr.............22.0lb/hr
'99-'04, ........04854181, .......Blue tip, .......49psi, .........22.5lb/hr.............21.2lb/hr
'05-'06, ........53013690AA, ...Brown tip, ......49psi?, ........23.3lb/hr?............22.0lb/hr
So maybe that's why renix fuel requirements aren't as drastic, they used smaller injectors to begin with.

Re: First 89 Renix Stroker, have some questions
Update: Tossed in my friends spare 94-95 XJ Tan Top 22.2lbs/hr injectors for kicks. Should run 21lbs on my 39psi rail. Even those are too big
Computer went to closed loop, ST Fuel dropped from 128 to 0, and Injector Pulse dropped from 11 to 6.7 ms until it gave up. Looks like 19lbs/hr is the sweet spot for my stroker. Will update when my ebay Injectors get here. I think I'm on to something here.

Swapped the original Injectors in, new o-rings and none of them leak. Took it through Inspection and it passed! Did pretty well too.
Gas . . . . Reading . Standard . Reading with 24# Injectors
Idle:
HC ppm . . . 70. . . . . 220 . . . . . 250
CO%. . . . . . 0.00 . . . 1.20 . . . . .8.30
CO2%. . . . . 12.4 . . . . . . . . . . . . 9.9
O2% . . . . . . 3.8. . . . . . . . . . . . . 0.0
High Idle:
HC ppm . . . 64. . . . . 220 . . . . . 251
CO%. . . . . . 0.14 . . . 1.20. . . . . 9.64
CO2%. . . . . 14.9 . . . . . . . . . . . . 9.0
O2% . . . . . . 0.6. . . . . . . . . . . . . 0.0
It did much better than last time and I don't feel like I'm gonna pass out when I drive it now.
Scanner shows good things too:
Readings after long drive:
Idle: . . . . . . . . . 680 - 720 RPMs
Injector (ms): . . 6.9 - 7.4
Loop Status:. . . Closed
Exhaust:. . . . . . Rich / Lean
ST Fuel: . . . . . . 133 - 158
Lt Fuel:. . . . . . . 133
Manifold Vac:. . 12.4 - 13.7 inHg
Spark Adv: . . . . 14 - 15
Knock: . . . . . . . 0
So it's final, since my stock Injectors are 19.6Lbs @ 43.5PSI / 18.6Lbs @ 39PSI, it looks like 20Lbs @ 43.5PSI Injectors would be right on the money for Fuel Trim purposes. If more people notice this, maybe Injector requirements should be amended to 20Lbs for Renix Strokers.
Thanks for all the help guys!

Re: First 89 Renix Stroker, have some questions
Update: I have 500 miles on the engine. Changed the oil a little early at 300 miles because I was going on a trip. I used Rotella T1 30W and a half quart of Lucas Break In Oil with a Wix Filter.
Engine did really well for the trip up, noticed a little bit of valve train noise when cold (40*F), but it went away after a few minutes. On the drive back home the normal noise was their, but after 10 minutes or so I got a very distinctive Lifter Tap. I couldn't do anything about it so I had to drive it all the way home, going gentle on it.
Popped the Valve Cover and noticed that the 6th Cylinder Intake Pushrod is spinning much faster than the others (About 3/4 rotation for each stroke) and that sounds about where the noise is coming from.
Was the Rotella a bad idea? It's odd that the lifter is giving me issues this early. Would some multi weight 10w30 dino oil and some lifter oil treatment be worth a shot to see if it doesn't clean it up before tearing off the head to replace all the lifters? Not noticing travel on it so it can't be off by much. Still runs strong, just noisy.
