I checked the FSM on the 2000 XJ and the 2004 WJ and the stock manifold numbers are the same. I don't think any of the stock manifolds are any different for 00+. Therefore I don't see whey a header off a XJ or TJ wouldn't work.

This is a bit old. but i figured i'd post here rather than start a new post. can people chime in with some advice? as stated this is a dual pre-cat setup that i am looking to put a header on. so its 99-04 type manifolds. i am looking for best bang for the buck. i see a lot of headers ranging from less than 200 to over 700. i like the cheapo price of course, and i know you get what you pay for, but i am not fond of the idea of spending 25% of my stroker costs on just a header.

any experiences out there? what and where to buy? i can have welds improved on a cheaper set if that is an avenue.

thanks in advance.

Dave,

If your interested I stock and sell Ceramic coated header from Flowtech. There a division of Hooker headers.

I can email ya a few pics if you'd like.

Do the Flowtechs have 2.5" collectors? I'm gearing up for a full 2.5" exhaust but the eBay header collector is 2.25" (or 2.125" as jeepxj3 states). The muffler shop sounded confident they can chop/modify it out to 2.5". Keeping my options open.
