Well it seems to have a nice chamber and might be a decent foundation for improvements. Disappointed that what blakely and hooker promised didn't come through.

There isn't enough meat for me to try to drill them out, the spark plug openings are right there. It just makes me a bit upset that I asked this specific question of Edelbrock prior to purchase and I was informed that this was one of the features that would be included on the production heads.

I can read a scale and I have no reason to lie about it. I could take it to work and get it down to tenths of a gram. LOL :P

wonder how much room is left for opening the runners for more flow. anybody planning on getting with a shop like total engine airflow to do some flow work? i've had them do stage 2 jobs on ls heads and man they come back pretty and the flow sheets show massive improvements

I would call them and ask about this. I do know that one of the images I had seen previously showed much larger pushrod holes.

Nic you and I posted at the same time, so my post wasn't a response to yours--you just happened to answer my question.

Although I haven't done it yet, it shouldn't be a big deal opening the existing hole for lifter access.

I do agree Edelbrock should have done it, but where they really blew it was not raising the valve cover rail
and putting in valve seats with a larger OD like Hesco did.

Hoping they will make these changes in the near future.

My oem head weighs 70.6 lbs. Thats 33 pounds heavier than the edelbrock head. Anyone know if there are any issues using screw in studs with the stock rocker arms?
