My order is being drop shipped from Edelbrock. They have upgraded the ship date to April 15th now so that is the first move in a positive direction I have seen. My camshaft should be in today according to FedEx. I have resigned myself to a fall time install.

Looks like the ship date moved again. It's May 2nd now.

Someone should get ahold of them and get a full explaination of the delays because I'm sure this is discouraging lots of people from ordering, and frustrating others that already did order. Its starting to look more and more like they just want to borrow your money with no intention of ever shipping the product.

Whoever gets one, please dyno before and after so we all know what we'd be getting for paying that premium. :)

Yes, I have confirmation of 44lbs of material in a box leaving califonia! From my what I could decipher from a conversation with Summit it sounds lilke Edelbrock is waiting to hit a certain order volume then making a production run. Sorry mine is on a new build so no before dyno from me.

I received confirmation as well. Let the fun begin. My build is being delayed until fall due to other more pressing projects. I will make a stock dyno pass but a head swap only comparison is not in the cards. When mine comes out the 4.6 goes back in.

How about pictures and comments from those of you who actually have the Edelbrock head?

Saw one on Wednesday, but only very quickly.

Well I feel like I have Bigfoot over at my house for tea... These things really do exist! My initial impression is very favorable. The casting is very clean and there is very little machining flash to clean up. All the threaded areas and machined surfaces appear perfect. The packaging was about as good as one could expect and arrived with only minor shipping wear. The lifter holes appear to be sized to allow the lifters to be removed while the head is on the motor which was the contributing factor in my decision to go with this head.

Sexy. Get a pic with it on a scale. No lifters coming through those holes.

Well that sucks, My parade is officially rained on. I pulled out the calipers and as stated there is no way a lifter is coming out of that hole. That is a real bummer.
