What size injectors renix stroker 4.7

Post by knever3 »

I have a renix system with a 63mm throttle body, 99 intake, AfE header, 2.5" exhaust, 4.7L stroker with a '94 block and '96 head. I have a hesco adjustable fpr and a wideband O2. What are the best injectors to use for this setup?

Start with 23 or 24# @ 3bar. Most run these and are just fine.

For whatever reason my stroker build wants smaller injectors. I am currently running 19.2lb/hr @ 48 PSI. (they are 18.25#hr Injectors @ 3bar with the pressure bumped up to 48PSI). Strange.. but definitely what my engine wants.

So again start with what most people run, just be prepared for anything. You have a AFPR and Wideband 02, so you should be good to go.
If it feels right, then STROKE it!

You sure? I thought the 24lb injectors were sufficient with the newer style post 91 with 49psi fuel pressure? The most I can get out of the Renix is 39psi I think so should I go with 27lb/hr because of the lower fuel pressure available? I have the Ford 24lb/hr now but they are used of course. Thanks for the replies guys!

They'll be fine. Ford rates those injectors at 39psi and I've been using the same ones in my Jeep for the last 10+ years.

Ok, need to bring this back up to the top.

So the Ford 24lb injectors, anyone have a few links of where to pick them up at? The prices are all over the place and I just don't know who to trust if I buy some reman ones from ebay.

I would like to buy the 4 hole ones from all the reading I've been doing, if that's the better way to go. Again Renix 39psi is all I have to work with.

Thanks again guys!
