I have that adapter and the 65mm neck above throttle blade/68mm below 4.7l tb from an '01-02 WJ. I need to chop and weld the 4.0 throttle linkage onto the 4.7tb, remove 99+ intake manifold and open the 62/3mm hole to 68mm, chop and solder newer TPS connector tails to my '96 harness, figure out a 3.25"-3.5" elbow and 3.5" cone filter. Should definitely help the stroker to breathe.

much better throttle response and with that worse mileage because it's more fun to drive. it'll probably add a little more mileage since it's letting your engine breathe better and make a little more power but it's likely to be negligible

I just got done doing this mod and haven't had a chance to drive it around yet. I found a video on YouTube of a guy who made his own spacer. He showed how to do it all including the mods to the throttle body. It was great help. I bought the aluminum for the spacer locally it was like 10 bucks or so. Doesn't look as good as the one you can buy but who cares it works and it's covered up anyway.

I love this mod and highly recommend spending the $ on the quality adapter. Buy yourself a 3.5" cone filter and 3.25"-3.5" jdm silicone elbow and then find a 3.5" 45* piece that you'll put a nipple in for the valve cover breathing(I'm temporarily using a $5 adjustable 4" dryer vent that slips over filter and elbow).
