Custom cam and degreeing question?
Okay so I went with a jones custom cam for my stroker build partly because I could get a core to utilize the cam retainer plate for my 1999 block. Unless I am mistaken I have read it is not possible to run a double roller chain and gear set with this retainer plate setup. Is that correct? If this is correct and a single roller chain is necessary, I am assuming the only way to change cam timing is with offset bushings? Thanks for any replies.

I guess an offset crank key would work as well.

Re: Custom cam and degreeing question?
The timing set for that cam will not accept a cam gear bushing. However, an offset crank key would work just fine. The timing set is also not a single roller, but a morse style chain.
