Hey Russ, I went with ARP bolts/studs, so I had to ditch the girdle. Do you think this was a bad idea? I race it.

Installing ARP studs isn't a bad idea, but I only use them if I'm going to line bore/line hone the mains.
The reason why is because the stud with it's fine thread will give you a greater clamping force
therefore potentially altering the main bore diameter.
