So many people are getting mislead. 99 out of a 100 have no idea what quench or squish is and the majority of those same folks will blindly put an engine together and then be disappointed in how it performs. Without ever understanding why.
The cost of 944`s has risen to the point that proper pin height/desired compression pistons are only a few bucks more. This is money well spent. Diamond, JE, Bulltear etc all have a much better way to go.
Knocking a bunch of material off the block and then trying to increase chamber volume (if that`s what you want) is counterproductive. Your comment of enlarging the chambers may make matters worse as it applies to evenness of fuel dispersment.
One fact you keep forgetting is that your fuel blending is much different then what we have here. While I am happy that your personal set up works well for YOU. It is very unfair to those folks whom do not enjoy the benefits you have in fuel quality. Nowhere in your "recipe" book do you address this fact. This misleads people to a false sense of performance and economy.
I am frankly sick and tired of all this Poormans recipe desktop dyno stuff that has to be refuted time and time again.

Build it right or don`t build it at all.
