The combination that has worked good for me is Comp Cams 26981 beehive spring, 774 retainers, 623 locks.
The catch is that I use it exclusively with Chevy LS valves.
You will have to machine your valve spring pocket down about .050 giving you a 1.700 installed height.
That will give you 110 on the seat. With a rate of 34.7, It will get you 263lbs at .450 lift
This package has been on everything from DD/Trail to KOH race engines.

consider Engle 593`s (or is it 594`s).......Those work pretty well with 110/250 ish at approx. 1.7
The springs from Bennie have been all over the chart. Last set went it at 1.83 @ 115/245 @ .500. (thanks for the update, Mike) Others I`ve set up in the 1.7 range and got similar numbers. These are with factory valves.
Still waiting to take a close look at the Edlebrock chamber to see what there may be in shrouding on larger valves. I do understand the stem is a touch smaller but not convinced it is enough to make much of a difference.
On the 7120 head best flow was with stock sized but well prepped.

jsawduste, I'll have to look into that 593 option.
For my customers that don't want to spend the extra $180.00 for the Chevy valves along with the additional expense of guide and pocket port work, it may give me more flexibility now that it looks like the overpriced Mopar spring is no longer available.
