Nsg370 behind a stroker

Is anyone running a nsg 370 behind their stroker? I'm wondering if you have had any issues. The input torque from the mfg is rated at 272 lb/ft and most stroker motors are higher than that... How about 330 lb/ft? If you are running it are you taking any precautions like a trans cooler or anything? Any way to strengthen it? If you are running more torque, for instance you have a turbo let me know... Whats your estimated torque?

I started with a supercharged 4.0L and NSG-370. I already started to have problems with the transmission, it only had 50,000 miles on it. It became more and more difficult to shift between gears, which is a common problem even for stock jeeps. Once I started planning the supercharged stroker I knew there was no way the nsg-370 would last. There aren't any upgrades for the transmission that I found, for that matter there is barely anything available to rebuild them. I ended up going with a nv4500. It will easily handle the power I plan on making and it has a very low first gear and overdrive. Other than the fact it shifts like a truck and not a race car, the transmission is perfect for my application.

Why not just go for the venerable AX15 5-speed? It's strong enough to handle a N/A stroker and five ratios are plenty given that a stroker has a pretty flat torque curve and a linear response.

I already have the nsg 370 in the jeep so its simply the easiest transmission to use right now. I've heard the ax15 is good though and can be upgraded with supra internals to make it handle the extra power.
