At what point does the fuel pump need to be upgraded?

I know with a stroker there is no need for a higher flowing fuel pump. But at what point does it become necessary to upgrade the pump? I'm just thinking about this because of my MP90 install. What about fuel lines?

I'm running a Bosch 040 300lph @ 95psi fuel pump installed into my factory '05 pump/sending unit housing utilizing the stock regulator. Running around 12psi boost i'm maintaining 55psi running through factory fuel lines. What I can tell you is the stock fuel lines and regulator are adequate for my jeep. I don't know if your lines/regulator are different and I don't know what the stock pump is capable of handling because I upgraded before finding out. I hope this helped in some way.

A fuel pump is in most cases mandatory for a stroker. Not because of duty cycle but because of age and mileage. If it is duty cycle related only , then ~270 whp.

The stock 90lph pump flows 144lb/hr of fuel at 100% duty cycle so it'll be adequate for N/A strokers developing up to ~300hp at the crank. Adding FI will definitely require a fuel pump upgrade.

I found a source that states the 1997+ generation Dodge Dakota/Durango V8 fuel pumps are minimum 50 GPH(189 LPH)/maximum 65 GPH(246 LPH). That should be good enough for around 350 to 375 horsepower. I believe the Dodge Dakota fuel pump assembly will work in a Jeep tanks possibly with minor modifications.

I would consider a Dakota pump to be 190 LPH.
