New header option
What do we think of this header? Ever head of DPT? It is 1/2 the price of the other option.

Re: New header option
The DPT unit looks just like the Flow Daddy setup which looks just like the expensive banks header. Except the Flow Daddy is made of 409 stainless, while the DPT is made of 304 stainless, and the banks is again made of 409 stainless...
Is it worth paying double the price for the banks unit? And why is the cheapest one made of the best stainless? I am pretty sure that 304 is better (more expensive) that 409
The DPT unit looks pretty good right now.

Re: New header option
The auction doesn't really say much. Need more details such as tubing gauge, flange thickness, and collector diameter. 1.75" is also an odd size for the primaries... most others are 1.5" for that year range.

Re: New header option
Someone needs to come up with a header with dual 2 1/4 inch collectors for a true dual exhaust for some of the higher hp strokers

According to specs the Banks and Borla for the later Jeeps are 2.25" collectors.

Re: New header option
I have JBA headers, the exhaust shop cut the ball flanges off and the collector is 2.25". I installed 2.5" pre-cats to 3" exhaust the rest of the way back.CandyCaneXj wrote:Someone needs to come up with a header with dual 2 1/4 inch collectors for a true dual exhaust for some of the higher hp strokers

Re: New header option
I just bid on this header from Ebay.
14 gauge, 409 stainless, with a 1/2 flange. If It comes for under 100 bucks I'll take it. I just can't afford 500+ for a header.

Re: New header option
There are two 2.25" collectors. JBA states 2.5" collectors but they are closer to 2.25"CandyCaneXj wrote:one or two collectors?mark2215 wrote:I have JBA headers, the exhaust shop cut the ball flanges off and the collector is 2.25". Re: New header option
I posted that same question a little while ago and I got no response. I think we are stuck with our factory 2.5 inch down pipe. I have been looking for a 3 incher with no luck.
