Beehive valve springs

Anyone seen or run these? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271194461307 ... 1423.l2649. He's got 100% feedback

100lbs at 1.650" and 295lbs at .550" lift. I messaged him and was told they'd have 265lbs at .470" lift. They can also be used with the later model valves/locks. Looks like an easy option with good pressures.

100lbs at 1.65"seat and 265lbs at 0.470" lift. Is that too much?

Might be a good alternative to the MP springs. I emailed the guy to find out what the inner and outer dimensions are on the top and bottom. (to see if the springs will fit the valve seat pocket and the Jeep retainers)

Man I just spent 300 bucks on the MP springs. I guess I should have looked here first.

I asked the guy selling these springs for inner and outer diameters of the top and bottom. I need to check to see if I have some extra stock retainers laying around to measure to make sure they will fit the springs. Or maybe someone can measure one. The inner and outer diameters are:
TOP O.D. 1.230
TOP I.D. .850
BOTTOM O.D. 1.310
BOTTOM I.D. .960

According to the ad, the stock retainers will fit so I'd assume the locks would too.
The seller is based in Queensland, Australia and the price is in Aussie Dollars.

This would be a great alternative to the MP springs, and the cost savings of being able to use stock retainers is a plus. I dont really see a need for chrome moly retainers on an engine that doesn't go over 5500 rpms and that has realatively low spring pressures.

They are not very 'Beehive' shape/taper- 1.230top-1.310bottom

.060 overbore,9.9 C/R ,ported 7120 head Offenhauser intake/Holley 600 and hedders,almost enough for a 1850 pound hotrod but only almost so 75-100 shot of nitrous are in the plans...

Seat is OK but 365 at 470 is a bit high. Even worse as the lifts go up. I personally, would not run them.

Seat could be a touch higher, but that open load is quite a bit heavy.

He said 265, not 365. The website says 265 also. 365 would be high, but 265 not so much.

Fat fingered it. I meant 265 all along. Yes 355/in is quite heavy. I like and use the Engle 593`@ 1.700 or sometimes 1.650 depending on end usage and cam ramp. Not a drop in but the pressures are a bit more inline with our inlines, LOL
