What do I have to do to my 0331 head to make it fit the springs that come with the 68-235-4 cam Kit? I was going to just use the mopar performance springs but it is a lot more expensive to buy the springs separately. Like 229 dollars more.
Cam/Lifters/Timing kit = 227
Mopar springs = 156
Mopar retainers = 132
Mopar keepers = 42
total 557
Comp Cam K kit (Cam/Lifters/Timing/Springs/retainers/locks) = 328
the difference is 229 bucks.
Are the Mopar Springs worth the extra money or should I use that money to machine my head to fit the springs that come with the 235 Cam?

Re: Comp Cam springs in an 0331 head?
The mopar performance springs seem to be near impossible to find/get today.
What are the specs on the comp springs? I thought that they were too heavy to be useful.

Comp cams springs, retainers, and locks won't fit the 4.0 valves.

Re: Comp Cam springs in an 0331 head?
In Closing. Not only do the comp cams springs not fit our 0331 head. They do not fit our valves either. So, in order to use the comp springs we need to buy new valves and machine our head to fit the new heaver springs.
