SCAT crank
SCAT forged rods
Set of custom Diamond pistons to get a zero deck height
Losing a FP and going lean would do it, that sucks.

That is just what I am interested in, the custom Diamond Pistons for zero deck height. What will the specs be? Group buy?
That is what Scat should sell instead of the 944s in their kit.

Yes it sucked. Had 2 brand new pumps that failed. That system is already being addressed. My fault for not having a gauge. That has also been addressed.

When I get the specs on pistons I will share the info. SCAT could've made a perfect kit if they went with a different piston setup. But SCAT has been easy to work with and I had the parts the next day after ordering them.

jsawduste on here has been a lot of help getting this motor built. I've learned about these motors and what does and doesn't work. This build may take a few months, but there will be no short cuts.

Well I'm back to building the new motor, with a ton of help from John (jsawduste) It should be a very solid motor with great power. Waited as long as I could for a head to be released, but time has pushed me to build a 7120 head. Nothing crazy. Stainless stock size valves, springs from Hesco and roller rockers. Also a Hesco H-274 cam. SCAT crank and rods and Diamond pistons. Hope to have the pistons ordered in the next two weeks.

John and I have been talking about a fell little things that should help with cooling and fuel issues. This motor will see long periods of WOT. So keeping fuel to #6 and keeping it cool are 2 of my biggest concerns. I'll post of some pics of the fuel rail when I get back.

Well I finally think I have this motor dialed. I have a few trips on it now. The power is crazy. Comes in hard at 3k and pulls till 5500 rpms. Big thanks to John Edwards, Chris Jensen [email protected] and Russ Pottenger.

The motor is built to the spec's John recommended. Russ did the head work and Chris did the tune. I had a Hesco stroker, with their aluminum head before this motor. The power is night and day difference. This motor pulls so hard on the top end. I truly can't believe the power. I was out this weekend with a few friends. I was able to pull away in the dunes on my buddy in a 4k buggy with a Turnkey 6.0l.
