Re: 4.6L titan
Redtj35 you leaned the engine out when you lowered the voltage below 5 volts, richened when you went above, read your plugs at different areas, cruse... wot hard pull. Listen to that motor for pinging. Fuel pressure adjustments are another method of fine tuning, but that was not directly related to what you was adjusting.

The computer may be part of this if the voltage is out of a predetermined range, it will cause faults and backup mapping.

The fuel pressure sounds about right for a 95 and will run about that unless you put in a fuel pressure regulator.

I have a NV3550 tranny with a stock clutch. Im just wondering if I should upgrade to a more heavy duty clutch?

I wouldn't upgrade the clutch unless you see it causing some issues.

Alright sounds good, Tomorrow im going to replace my intake/exhaust gasket. Im going to use a felpro gasket and use copper high-temp rtv to make sure it never leaks!!!! If it dont fix the ticking noise i guess it has to be a crack exhaust manifold.

Your already going to have the manifold disconnected to replace that gasket, might as well inspect it carefull for cracks at that time...Redtj35 wrote:Alright sounds good, Tomorrow im going to replace my intake/exhaust gasket. Usually a mechanics mirror will reveal a crack also if there is one.

Well its all fixed no more leaking!! Im stoked motor sounds sooo clean and nice now!! Now I just gotta tune it up for better acceleration and not so much top end. I mean when i had my 4.0L stock my jeep would maybe top out at 85. Now with the stroker I can probley get up to 105!! haha

Re: 4.6L titan
Alright now the stroker is running awesome!! It just seems I cant get it tuned for more acceleration and less top end. Ide Rather have the motor scream 1st-3rd gear than 3rd-5th. Any ideas on what i should adj. Or maybe even hotter plugs?

Re: 4.6L titan
If your AFR is good you won't be able to change the tune like you are seeking by playing with the MAP sensor adjuster. The only way that I know of is to change the valve events. I.e. Advance the cam a few degrees, or change the cam for one that gives you the curve you are looking for. BTW, what cam are you running?
