I have a 4.7 stroker that I am pulling out of my wrangler for an ls swap and am looking at installing the stroker into a commando. I have never been able to get all the power out of the stroker with the obdI set up in my wrangler due to California smog testing I can't change it to obdII but the commando is smog exempt so what are your thoughts on this swap?
The wrangler is a 1993 yj 4.7 ax15 with twin tcase 4.88 gears on 40" tires 181 rear wheel horse power on the dyno.
The commando will be 4.88 gears ax15 Dana 300 on 35-37" tires.
I have less than 20k miles on the stroker and it's either I make it work in the commando or sell it in favor of a v8
Thoughts, advice would be appreciated.
