Stroked and supercharged wow
Anyone out there know what I can do with my Jeep auto trans now that I am making 265 hp to the rear wheels? I keep driving through it(slipping). I have tried everything under the sun. I am being told that the 42rle trans just can`t be modified to take that kind of hp. I need some help out there. Mabe someone else has been able to modify their rig with a different trans or? I have a 4.6 stroker with a Ripp modifications supercharger set at about 7lbs.

Re: Stroked and supercharged wow
Considering how much a piece of shit the 42RLE is in the first place, no, there is no point in trying to build it up. Is this a TJ or a LJ? If you swap to using a manual transmission PCM then an AW4 could be dropped in running off its own TCM.

There are valve body kits and I think IPT performance offers and upgraded valve body. But, yes, its a turd of a transmission.

Its a 06 TJ Rubi. The trans allready has all the trick stuff done. There has to be someone out there that has figured out something other than the 42rle.I have been told thar the pre 93 three speed auto that is not electronic will bolt up. Anyone tried that mod?

Like I said, use the AW4. It will require some figuring out from your end to wire into the less common 2006 TJ PCM, but it is possible to accomplish.flyer1 wrote:Its a 06 TJ Rubi. If there's a full manual valve body available, you could swap it into an AW4 and not have to worry about any electronics whatsoever.

Re: Stroked and supercharged wow
Thanks all for the advise. I have found a trans shop in NJ it`s called Level 10. The owner Pat has developed a permanent fix for the 42rle by using hand built parts, pump, components found on other trans, and is able to build a race ready trans. I checked his business out with several other contacts before I crated my trans and sent it out to him. I will let everyone know how it runs when I get it back and put a few miles on it.

Re: Stroked and supercharged wow
I got a stroked supercharged 4.6 liter twinturbo with AW4 and it working fine I have built a new TCM so I could change gears manual.
It is a nice experiense to have turbopressure all the way up too full speed a hughe differense instead of my 5 speed manual gearbox.
