deck height question
hey guys i need a lil help on this. im trying to figure out the deck height on my stroker without having the motor to measure. running 258 crank and rods with 677cp pistons. and block height is stock. im trying to figure out my CR

should be approx .0215" if your blocks never been decked

That's the deck clearance on a stock 4.0. The deck height of the 4.0 block is quoted as 9.450-9.456".604rail_king wrote:should be approx .0215" if your blocks never been decked
I have the same crank/rod/piston combo in my stroker and without milling the block/head surfaces the SCR is ~9.25:1, deck clearance is ~0.045", and quench height is ~0.088".
