You guys may want to take a look at this, http://offroadvw.net/exceldyno/

It goes into more than just the the gearing talk. I have played around with this quite a bit and like it.

I knew someone had done it somewhere, I just got bored one night and wanted to make something specific to Jeeps.
Now I can be like all those other awesome people with more than one Jeep in their sig, but now I have to say one of them is sold:(
