turbo stroker question
I am sure this has been asked many times and i apologize for asking it now but for some reason i cannot open the recipes page.
i am looking for the best set up for my stroker. i am planning on building a 4.6 or possible a 4.7 with a turbo to be added down the road. i would like to get the compression ration as high as possible now without preventing a turbo in the future. It is not my daily driver and octane is not an issue. i would like to keep my budget under two thousand (not including the turbo of course). Any info or opinions welcome.

Re: turbo stroker question
There's a link in my sig. to the recipes. Hope that works for you.
The 4.6L low buck recipe with a low pressure turbo (5psi) would be a nice set-up. Since you won't need much turbo boost, you could select a smallish turbo that'll spool up at low rpm to improve response and minimize lag.

Re: turbo stroker question
thanks that looks good, however it raises another question. I have a early 90's engine but will be using a 99 intake so which injector do i go with?Cheromaniac wrote:There's a link in my sig. to the recipes. Hope that works for you.

Re: turbo stroker question
Stock 8.7 to 9.0 maybe 9.25 CR. Injectors depends on boost, intercooler or not, what fuel pressure you will run and how much HP do you anticipate.

Re: turbo stroker question
The compression ratio also depend on that fuel you should run on.
My setup is a 4.6 stroker the only thing i didnt do is milling the block.
If you should run on higher turboboost you should not bore too much in the cylinders because it degrees the wall thickness.
Here is my build I run 2 small turbo too get power in low rpm.
I runs it on 730 cc injectors with Megasquirt V3 E85 fuel and 1.2 bars turbopressure and also have convert it to CNG and hydrogen

Here is a picture i have taken for our CNG advisor.
For those thats not familiar in Swedish it stands "A Wheelie for CNG"

Re: turbo stroker question
To be honest it runs on E85 (Ethanol) because i have told the microcontroller to only runs on CNG in Highway speed because of the mapping I have now.
But the CNG advisor i take the photo to didnt now so dont tell him
