california emissions with stroker add on. Do they pass

A newbe to your group. Thanks in advance. Looking to buy, likely a TJ thinking of getting a run out engine?? and going for a Stroker, but must pass the Ca. emissions. Your help is appreciated.

Short answer is yes. The Strokers are much more efficient than the stock motors.
If it feels right, then STROKE it!

Thanks for the help. I was looking into the V 8 / l S 1 YADA
While looking for alternatives found you folks and am looking forward to a Stroker set up that will be stree legal here in the ******** up state, CA. Becaure I have worked hard and saved money and will be 60 this month. ( self gift ) I am looking for a TJ and hope to find one that is done or I can have done. I have test drove a few of the 6 cyl. units and want more HP and Torque. I built a 302 scout many years ago and liked the low end.

A properly built stroker will produce less emissions than a stock 4.0 so you should have no problem getting past the CA smog Gestapo.
