my tune is being done using an SCT Flash.
performanceinjectionequipment.com ask for Chris he is the owner/tuner who wrote the code. I wish i had the software to do it myself then I could tell you how he does it.
My 02 sensors are completely shut off. There is no closed loop at all ever. We have tuned the AFR to roll around 14.5 at idle and say the first 20% of throttle so my cruise mileage is still decent and the engine doesnt surge due to the large cam/overlap. The problem with trying to use the factory system and narrow band 02 is that all the raw fuel and the unburnt mix makes the 02 think the motors lean then the PCM dumps fuel creating an actual rich condition. I could watch that happen when comparing the fuel trims on the scanner to the AEM wideband. My mid throttle is 12.7-13.1 and eventually leans out to 12.8-13.1 by 6400 WOT. Pulls hard still at 6400 but I know my 42RE is screaming in protest and its only shift kitted and doesnt have a high rev kit or modded drums in it yet.
