I can't believe I'm asking this but I never really considered to give it any thought.. but here it is where is the Ecu on a 2000 xj? Is it behind the dash?

PCM= Powertrain Control Module
ECU = Engine Control Unit

They are the same. Chrysler calls it a PCM. Its on the drivers side inner fender next to the air box. The XJ has only one other control module, that would be the TCM (transmission control module) and that is under the driver's side dash on the right.
