So I've been following these forums for awhile now, and think I'm ready to begin my own stroker build for my 97 Cherokee sport with the 4.0.
My parts list is as follows:
I'm not sure what block to start with, but it will need:
a) .020" deck
b) .060" bore and hone
c) cam bearings and freeze plugs
d) mains checked and possibly line honed
Supposedly I guess the HO head has better flow characteristics, so I will pull one and:
a) gasket-match it
b) port and polish
c) have it resurfaced?
Internals will be:
a) ARP fasteners all around
b) Keith-Black UEM-IC944-060 pistons
c) The AMC 258 crank (duh) ---- Balanced
d) Regular 4.0 rods (which forging series are strongest?)
e) CompCams 68-235-4 210/21 camshaft
d) .043" head gasket
e) Ford 24 lb/hr injectors
And I think that's it. Anything missing?
I'm a picture-heavy person, so stay tuned.
Think I'm ready to order, but double checking...

I wouldn't gasket match the head. I would match the head to the intake manifold, and polish the exhaust ports. Of course polish the combustion chambers as well as clean up the intake ports. You will also need all the gaskets. You don't need all ARP bolts for the internals. I would just go with the rod bolts from ARP.
