Ok guys, looking for some advice here. A buddy bought a 99 TJ with a dunked 4.0l, but the seller threw in a boneyard motor to replace it. I did the swap and it ran, but had a knock. After a few runs it sat.
He found Titan engines out of Florida and ordered a 4.9l stroker complete. Because I was busy on another project, he found a guy to put it in. Over the course of about 6 months, he has replaced pretty much everything. New and reflashed computer and right now it thinks throttle is wide open and goes into limp mode. Does not start up and idle races, just starts and within a few seconds, drops into limp mode and runs like crap. TPS and throttle body are new. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check if the distributor is properly indexed. It sounds like it may be several degrees or even one tooth off.
