Mandrel Bent Front Pipe
Where does one source a 2.5" mandrel bent pipe from the header to the cat/straight pipe? Magnaflow is the only one I can find, but it comes with a catalytic converter. $158 part number 23227. http://www.quadratec.com/products/51410_101_07.htm

Find an exhaust shop that can build you one.
You can get more power out of ANY engine!!!

I had a local shop do mine... but it was quite expensive... 225 with x2 02 bungs. I have an XJ, so a TJ (which is what that front pipe you listed is for) might be less costly??
If it feels right, then STROKE it!

Re: Mandrel Bent Front Pipe
that magnaflow front pipe is actually 2.25" piping (based on summits part description)
you can go custom with a performance car shop that can fabricate, or an exhaust shop. pretty sure walker sells 90 deg bends in 2.5" mild steel if you want to attempt it on your own if you have access to a welder.

Re: Mandrel Bent Front Pipe
A welder I do not have, nor garage unfortunately. To my understanding, the front pipe is 2.5" and the cat has a 2.5" inlet/2.25" exhaust. That's probably really dumb if it was the case, since they already make cats that are same inlet/outlet diameter. Since the stroker isn't a race motor, I think I'll try the 2.25" mandrel bent pipe over the OEM bends. I think the OEM pipe is 2.5" before the cat, but not sure.
