Ok...so I disconnected the line before the fuel pump and let her run. I got a little over a liter and a half. For good measure I swapped out the fuel pump anyway. Tested it again, got a bit more fuel than before. Went back and tested the pressure with the new pump and got a whopping 6 psig when I jumped the relay and 0 psig on initial key turn.
So, am I looking at a new FPR? Where is the pressure bleeding off at? Definitely not leaking anywhere. Not blowing thru an injector. The mystery continues!
Please HELP!! 4.6 Won't stay running...

Yup. That seems to be where the problem lies. Could be an opportunity to get the Hesco adjustable FPR.cigarluvr wrote:Went back and tested the pressure with the new pump and got a whopping 6 psig when I jumped the relay and 0 psig on initial key turn.

Have you checked the vac line to the regulator? Perhaps the diaphragm has ruptured and is pulling fuel to the manifold.
Here is another option for the fuel regulator: http://www.strokedjeep.com/regulator.html

Re: Please HELP!! 4.6 Won't stay running...
Ok... got a new Adj FPR and Adj MAP in along with a LM-1 and DB wideband sensor...and what do ya know she fires right up and runs...I quickly get her up to 2000rpms and notice tons of black smoke coming out...CRAP! On top of that she won't go any higher than 2k and if I do she cuts back to 1500 and climbs to 2k again runs smooth then cuts back. Also, when I let my foot off the accelerator she immediately died. AFR during this was between 8.0 and 9.0 (supa rich). So I did a little searching...went back and took the Adj MAP out and turned down the Adj FPR...same thing again...black smoke, and sounds like it is loading up. Then I noticed my temp was climbing...and then the CEL came on, I let off the pedal she started to idle smoothly at 1000 rpms, I shut her off and read the codes (OBD1)
13 MAP sensor or vacuum line may not be working
14 MAP sensor voltage below .16V or over 4.96V
Now what? Checked the vacuum line to the MAP...or did I? Holy crap!!!
Sounds of an idiot running into the garage....
5 minutes later...So I forgot to connect the vacuum line to the MAP...
She runs great now...a bit of a miss...also, gotta get the cooling system primed...pumps not moving the coolant through...I'll search that one.
Thanks for the help guys. We can end this thread...

I'm having the same issue as you did. Already have the adj FPR, but didn't get much time to mess with it until I started my work week. What is the LM-1 your talking about? Trying to figure what to start looking at tomorrow.
Thanks,
Thanks,
