Sounds like a valve float issue. If you're using old stock valve springs, they're probably tired and you'll need to replace them with new ones.dewjeep wrote:p.s motor has tons of power till 4000 rpms till it acts like it has a low rev limiter.....

I am with Dino on this, my springs caused the same issue, as the rpm dropped the engine recovered then fell on its face again as it peaked 4000.Cheromaniac wrote:Sounds like a valve float issue. Re: acts like iut has a rev limiter at 4000 rpm
I just installed a titan 4.9 and mine does the same thing but the valves just dont seem like they would be a problem
my jeep will hit about 3800 and then just stop, but i can accelerate just fine as long as i dont punch it, also im running lean according to the auto meter.... alll the time even at idle, could this be caused by fuel starvation? titan guy told me to install a fuel pressure regulator from a dodge dynasty to up the injectors to 27lbs vs 24
helpppppp!!!
