All you Renix folk that are not on the Renix Yahoo site, check out the data reader that will probably work with our
data output port under the hood. There is also a Youtube of it working. DAMN!!! Another project to add to the list!

Re: Renix data out
OK I don't have a running Renix engine to test it on but here is a Utube of one working.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUqQrLLVdZ8
I have just completed the project. The Arduino processor board was $29.95, the electronics parts < $1.
it measures in both a bargraph and #
MAP
CTS
IAT
VOLT
OXY
RPM
INJ
KNQ
ADV
This is very cool! $31!!!!!

Re: Renix data out
I just purchased the Uno R3 and will be putting this together for myself also. The nice thing about it is that the code is very easy to work with and is well commented. Once i get it tested and working then i will try to figure out a way to make it a self contained unit. Possibly with for example a small screen.
If it feels right, then STROKE it!

Re: Renix data out
i dont have a Renix however ive been reading up on building an engine vitals monitor using the Arduino board. i want to do it as its a fraction of the cost. Silvers done it, but we should do a decent write up on it for others to copy.

Re: Renix data out
I'm thinking of a parrallax <sp?> display. Got a few of those laying about.
#'s only would be OK for me.
I wonder if I could interface a GUI display like the Innovative one .

Re: Renix data out
Does anybody know, or could someone check at the diagnostic plug.
What is the data out voltages , e.g. what is the swing.
Is it TTL ? 0-5VDC? 0-10, 0-12, -5to 0.
Tnx. I think I'm going to design something with a 4n35 optoisolator, sounds better than a biased transistor.
More isolation.
