Any idea on where I can get the right key? I've looked around for what seems like forever.

Turn the Key around. The Round end goes into the crank. Flat side out. Hope it fits a little better. :) If not, Hardware stores sell them in all sorts of sizes.

I really hope he was just using that position to illustrated the size, not actually installing it that way.

Yes, just to illustrate size. lol

So I went to home depot and it appears that they only have it online.

Could you try a different Home Depot or a Lowes maybe? Maybe a Fastenal. I got mine at the Home Depot here.

I'm not sure if the key is the same on an older 258 but I'm tearing one down for the crank today to use in my stroker build. If they are the same I'd be happy just to mail one to you. I'll know if they are the same in a few hours.

Hey guys,

Sorry for not posting earlier, but I just got back from Lowe's and found the part! They actually had a whole screw tray full of them with various sizes.

My next challenge is the header. I've got pictures but I need to upload them first.

I got the headers in recently and they fit on the cylinder head with the 2001 intake manifold without any issues. Though I'm having issues with the ball flange on the OBX stainless racing headers, they're just too big to bolt up to the stock catalytic converters. Any ideas?

I would talk to OBX and see what they recommend. Maybe Jeep changes the down pipe flange at some time.

Well I don't think I can get in touch with the OBX guys since they're out of China I believe.

Here is a look at the problem I'm dealing with (notice how the cat side just goes inside the header:

I was thinking something like this might work:

Any ideas?

Alright, scratch the last set of headers.

I ended up going with the rugged ridge stainless headers. They're a proper fit with the cats, but I need to grind down a couple more spots to let the intake manifold bolts fit. (Pics to come)

Though my next issue is the coil rail for the 2001 wiring harness. Has anyone mounted it with the older high flow cylinder head I'm using?

I had problems with a OBX exhaust header (1997 jeep), it interfered with the block. I have needed to cut it and change the outlet.
I covered it with thermal wrap, a few months later it cracked. finally I bought a Pacce-Setter, but I didn't cover it with thermal wrap.

you could use the APN performance header and weld in new o2 bungs. this is what im planning on doing in the near future for my 7120 head swap on my 2000 stroker.

For the coil rail I used aluminum straps from the valve cover studded bolts to the coil rail. I used that for awhile then it pissed me off enough while pulling it out that I did this: http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/viewt ... =26&t=2756

That is AWESOME! Did you ever make a wiring diagram and list part numbers? I am DEFINITELY interested in building this.

Also, is that a cheetah skinned steering shock in the pictures?
