Clevite 20018R O ring, nylon ring and thermo gasket question

Post by Carlo »

Starting to assemble the bottom half of my stroker. I was checking the gasket kit and couldn't remember these 2 items were for:

1.what were these o-rings for. There were 2 bags in the kit.
2. Nylon ring.
3. 2 kinds of thermostat gasket, am I supposed to install both or just choose one?

The nylon ring is for the oil pan drain, use the grey t-stat gasket unless you like cork. The o-rings should be for the fuel injectors if the total is 12.

Yeah the o-rings for the injectors come in bags of 6 ... or at least thats what the mopar ones i ordered did. There should be two bags.

Not sure why it came with two thermostat housing gaskets thought. Pick one??
If it feels right, then STROKE it!

Use the one that fits the best. Looks like a slight difference in the slotted part.
